Description:

The Manager - Corporate Development is a newly created position, and is the direct result of the Company's increased focus on external development. The individual in this position will participate in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating mergers/acquisitions, alliances and joint ventures. The primary accountability of this position will be M&A prospect research, accounting and due diligence analysis of major business initiatives, both domestic and international. This position will work with multiple internal departments, as well as external contacts (ie, investment bankers). This is an excellent opportunity to directly participate in the Company's growth.

Principal Accountabilities
1. Develop and maintain a list of prospective acquisition targets and investment partners.
2. Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of industry trends and emerging areas of opportunity.
3. Develop robust business cases to drive decision making. Analysis will include market assessment, pricing strategies and cost structure analyses.
4. Conduct due diligence to support decision making by working across divisions and functional areas.
5. Conduct detailed valuation analyses.
6. Assist with executing transactions including negotiations with third parties, drafting of related agreements and securing approvals.
Job Specifications
• Strong analytic capability, the ability to transition between tactical and strategic implications on CPG (preferred)business opportunities.
• Significant financial analysis and accounting experience with exposure to operations (3+ years experience).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong working relationship across multiple business functions, and has the ability to create direction and influence others in a matrix environment.
• Financial modeling experience.
• General knowledge of M&A best practices.
• BS in Finance or related field, MBA strongly preferred. CPA certification a plus.
• Ideal candidates will have a mix of corporate and business unit experience.
